Schumer and Slaughter Attend Hickey Freeman Rally
Senator Charles Schumer and Workers United organized a rally in response to the bankruptcy filing of HMX Corp, the parent company of Hickey Freeman. U.S. Rep. Louise Slaughter also attended. Hickey Freeman currently has 500 local area employees. Schumer is calling for retaliation if those jobs are moved overseas as a result of the filing.
