According to a recent Genesee Transportation Council survey of over 3500 households in Monroe, Livingston, Ontario and Wayne counties: -- 9% of people walked, biked or took mass transit on a regular basis -- 40% of those who drove regularly said they would use other modes of transportation once gas rose to $4 per gallon -- 20% said it would take $8.50 per gallon to persuade them to seek alternate modes of tranportation
