Costich Engineering, Land Surveying & Landscape Architecture, D.P.C. is a third-generation family-owned firm headquartered at 217 Lake Ave in Rochester, NY. Founded in May 1977 by Charles J. Costich, P.E., L.S., the company has operated from its Lake Avenue office since opening day. In the mid-1980s, his sons Mark R. Costich, P.E. and Charles J. Costich III, L.S. joined to lead the engineering and surveying departments. The firm is now led by Sarah Costich King, R.L.A., who serves as President and CEO, with Michael Ritchie as Vice President. In 2013, the company expanded its name to reflect the addition of a formal Landscape Architecture department. Costich holds certification as a New York State Women Business Enterprise (WBE).

Costich provides design and consulting services across three core disciplines for both public and private sector clients:

• Civil Engineering — site design, infrastructure solutions, grading, drainage, stormwater management, and green infrastructure for projects ranging from commercial developments to municipal roadways
• Land Surveying — professional surveying services supported by GIS specialists and FAA-licensed drone pilots
• Landscape Architecture — streetscapes, urban design, parks, trails, and recreational spaces with an emphasis on long-term community resilience

The firm's staff of approximately 40 includes multi-disciplined engineers, landscape architects and designers, CAD designers, field inspectors, land surveyors, and support personnel. Costich serves municipalities, developers, and private clients throughout the Greater Rochester region and across New York State.

Costich has built a nearly five-decade track record working on site development and infrastructure projects in the Rochester area. Notable work includes civil site engineering and landscape architecture for the Joseph M. Lobozzo '95 Alumni House at Rochester Institute of Technology, site planning for a 300,000-square-foot manufacturing facility for McAlpin Industries in Webster, and a long-running partnership with Delta Sonic spanning more than 20 years of site planning and construction support. The firm's combination of civil engineering, surveying, and landscape architecture under one roof allows it to handle projects from initial land survey through final site design.

Costich's office sits at 217 Lake Ave in Rochester's Lake Avenue corridor, just north of downtown Rochester near the intersection with Driving Park Avenue and within a short distance of the Genesee River. The office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Lake Avenue connects the central business district to the city's northwest neighborhoods, placing the firm in a convenient midpoint for clients coming from both suburban Monroe County and the urban core.
