Half Pint Pub

Half Pint Pub is a neighborhood craft beer bar located at the corner of Park Avenue and Oxford Street in Rochester, NY. Opened in the summer of 2011—the night before the Park Avenue Summer Art Festival—the pub was founded by John Diamantopoulos, a local restaurateur who also operates several other Rochester establishments. Occupying just 485 square feet with a capacity of 49, the intimate space was designed as a conversation-friendly gathering spot for the Park Avenue neighborhood.

The pub features 14 rotating tap lines highlighting craft beer selections that change weekly. Three mainstays anchor the draft list: Abita Brewing's Purple Haze, Guinness stout, and Shock Top. Half Pint's signature serving format lets patrons order two different half-pint pours for the price of a single pint, encouraging sampling across the rotating lineup. A full bar is also available for non-beer drinkers.

For food, Half Pint partners with neighboring restaurants Schiano's Pizza and Red Fern, giving customers access to a range of options including vegan dishes without requiring a full kitchen on-site. During warmer months, a seasonal sidewalk patio expands the seating, and the outdoor area is dog-friendly.

Half Pint Pub is known for its two-half-pints-for-one-pint serving concept and a constantly rotating craft beer draft list. The building itself has a history as a food-service location, having previously housed a pizza restaurant and a hot dog shop.
