Layali Coffee House

Layali Coffee House is Rochester's first Yemeni coffee shop, located at 942 Jefferson Road in Henrietta. The business opened in 2024 on the first day of Ramadan, bringing organic Yemeni coffee and Arabic desserts to the south side of the Rochester metro area. The name "Layali" translates to "nights" in Arabic, reflecting the café's emphasis on evening gathering and late-night hospitality traditions. In October 2025, Layali received the New York State Empire Award from Senator Jeremy Cooney in recognition of its contributions to the local business community.

Layali Coffee House centers its beverage menu on freshly roasted organic Yemeni coffee, available in several preparations including ginger coffee varieties. Other drink options include Aden tea, matcha beverages, and specialty lattes such as the Iced Pistachio Latte. The dessert selection draws on Arabic and Middle Eastern traditions:

The Henrietta location serves the surrounding residential communities as well as students and faculty from nearby Rochester Institute of Technology and Monroe Community College, both within a short drive.
