Roc Pho Shop

Roc Pho Shop is a Vietnamese restaurant located at 339 Jefferson Rd in the Town of Henrietta, near the Rochester Institute of Technology campus. The restaurant opened in February 2024 as a sister location to SEA Restaurant, which operates multiple locations in the Rochester area. Roc Pho Shop is a family-run operation led by owner Vilay Sysavath and head chef Nalee Phommachanh, who draw on family recipes and childhood meals to shape the menu. The restaurant is woman-owned and offers a casual dining atmosphere with outdoor seating.

The menu centers on pho served in generous 40-ounce portions, made with housemade broths simmered for nearly 24 hours with spices like cinnamon, cardamom, and rock sugar. Broth options include chicken, beef, seafood, and vegetable varieties. Beyond pho, the menu features:

• Fresh spring rolls and fried tofu
• Charbroiled lemongrass plates with various proteins
• Angel wings — chicken wings stuffed with glass noodles and lemongrass
• Fried combo platters with shrimp and squid
• Shrimp ceviche with rice paper chips

Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options are available. The full-service bar offers soju-based cocktails, Vietnamese espresso martinis, Thai iced tea, and rotating drink specials.

Roc Pho Shop is known for its slow-simmered pho broths and its stuffed chicken wings, a preparation the restaurant has described as unique to the Rochester area. The menu reflects Southeast Asian home cooking adapted for casual dining, with the kitchen producing both traditional Vietnamese dishes and items with broader Southeast Asian influences. Situated on Jefferson Road in Henrietta, Roc Pho Shop is close to the RIT campus and the commercial corridor that runs along Jefferson Road south of Rochester. The area is accessible by car with nearby retail plazas offering convenient parking. The restaurant is open Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 11 AM to 9 PM, Friday and Saturday from 11 AM to 9:30 PM, and Sunday from 11 AM to 7 PM. It is closed on Wednesdays.
