Overview
Security Risk Advisors (SRA) is a cybersecurity consulting firm founded in 2010 and headquartered in Philadelphia. The company opened its Rochester, NY office in September 2019 at the Culver Road Armory, a mixed-use development on Culver Road in the Upper Monroe neighborhood. SRA employs nearly 350 people across offices in the United States, Ireland, and Australia, serving Fortune and Global 1000 organizations in industries including financial services, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, technology, and retail.
The Rochester expansion was supported by a $900,000 commitment from Empire State Development through the Excelsior Jobs program. SRA selected the Finger Lakes region in part because of its proximity to 19 colleges and universities, which the firm cited as a pipeline for cybersecurity talent.

SRA has built its practice around specialized offensive and defensive security testing, with a particular focus on purple teaming — coordinated exercises where attack simulations and defensive responses are measured together.
