The current store opened on May 19, 2013, replacing a smaller Wegmans that had occupied the site since 1962. At roughly 86,900 square feet, the rebuilt location more than doubled the footprint of its predecessor, which was about 43,000 square feet. Wegmans has maintained a presence at this East Avenue site for over six decades, making it one of the company's longest-running Rochester locations.

The store carries a wide selection across departments including produce, meat, seafood, bakery, deli, cheese, bulk foods, and a wine, beer, and spirits section. A dedicated prepared-foods area and Market Cafe with over 100 seats provide ready-to-eat options for shoppers looking for a quick meal. Additional departments cover floral, health and wellness, baby products, and home and entertaining goods.

Services include grocery delivery and curbside pickup through the Wegmans app, Meals 2GO ordering for carryout or delivery, catering, custom cake orders, and an on-site pharmacy.
