For 55 years, the Golden Link Folk Singing Society has gathered Rochester's folk community for the Turtle Hill Folk Festival — and this September 19th, the tradition continues at The Historic German House on Gregory Street. This is a full day of roots music that moves from morning workshops and informal jam sessions to an afternoon concert with Kate Gaffney & Benjamin Chandler, and then into the evening with nationally acclaimed performers David Francey and Bruce Molsky. It's the kind of day where strangers sit in a circle and sing together, and nobody needs to explain why.
