Behind the Scenes at RMSC — Myths, Mourning, and Medicine in the Collections Vault, October 22

Rochester's Museum & Science Center holds over 1.2 million objects — and most of them are never on public display. On October 22nd, adults (18+) get a rare invitation into the collections vaults for a themed 90-minute tour led by expert collections staff. Choose from three tours: Myths & Monsters (the real animals behind dragons and mermaids, in the Zoology Vault), Memento Mori (Victorian mourning practices and death as protest, in the History Vault), or Blood, Blisters & Breakthroughs (19th-century medicine from leeches to germ theory). All tours depart promptly from the lobby at 6 PM.
