Clean Sweep 2026: Join Rochester's Biggest Volunteer Day

Twenty years ago, Rochester started something simple: a day when neighbors show up together to take care of the place they share. Clean Sweep 2026 is the 20th anniversary of that idea, and it's grown into one of the city's most visible acts of collective care. Thousands of volunteers fan out across Rochester neighborhoods to clean streets, pull weeds, plant flowers, and remove graffiti — then come back together for lunch and a Red Wings game. The city provides everything you need. You just have to show up.
