Deaf Culture Awareness Day at Seneca Park Zoo — A Day for Connection, October 3

Rochester has one of the largest Deaf communities in the country, and every October the Zoo becomes a gathering place for that community and its neighbors. Deaf Culture Awareness Day is a full day of interactive experiences celebrating the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community — in partnership with Rochester School for the Deaf and NTID at RIT. ASL interpreters will be on site throughout the day, and many Zoo talks and demonstrations will include interpretation so everyone can fully participate.
