East Ave Fest Is Back: Rochester's East End Gets Its Music Block Party Again on September 12

The East End is getting its concert block back. East Ave Fest — a new celebration of Rochester's entertainment district — closes East Avenue from 4 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, bringing live music to the East and Alexander intersection for the first time since the East End Festival's final run in 2015. Organized by Blake and Max Gianniny (the team behind Flower City Thaw and the Sunday Football Block Party), the event partners with Anthology, the Local Sound Collaborative, and Filgers East End to host multiple simultaneous stages. Local bands on the bill include Dirty Blanket, the Medicinals, the Skycoasters, and Rissa the Righter. Taco Dero, Lina's on East, Capones Italian Eatery, and Aubunn Cafe are bringing food to the street.
