Rochester stands on the homelands of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, and each November the Memorial Art Gallery gathers the community to honor and celebrate that living heritage. The Haudenosaunee Heritage Celebration Day is free for everyone and fills the afternoon with cultural programming, art, and connection. It’s the kind of event that belongs on the calendar of anyone who wants to understand the deeper roots of this region.
