Jet Black Berries Celebrate Sundown on Venus Reissue with Free Show at Record Archive

Four decades after recording their debut album in just two days, Rochester underground rock legends The Jet Black Berries are back — and they're bringing the party to Record Archive. On Wednesday evening the band will play a free set at the Backroom Lounge to celebrate the official rerelease of Sundown on Venus (Definitive Edition), their 1984 record newly remastered and restored to its original 12-song vision. If you grew up on Rochester's underground music scene — or you're just discovering it — this is a once-in-a-generation celebration of a sound that helped put this city on the map.
