Rochester City Ballet is opening its season with something wonderfully unexpected: Dr. Seuss in classical ballet. The company brings The Sneetches and Green Eggs and Ham to the stage at the School of the Arts, weaving American Sign Language into neoclassical choreography in a program that works for every age in the audience. New and returning choreography by company dancers and students from the recently launched School of Rochester City Ballet make this a genuine community event — not just a performance to watch, but a season opener that introduces who the company is becoming.
