One of the world's great jazz festivals happens in our backyard every June — and most of it is free. The 23rd Rochester International Jazz Festival runs nine days across 19 downtown venues with 1,750+ artists and 300+ shows. This year's headliners include Gladys Knight, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, the Count Basie Orchestra, Chris Botti, and Ana Popović. Free outdoor shows run nightly at Parcel 5 and Gibbs Street. There's no better week to be downtown.
