Surviving Suppression at RoCo — Artists Discuss Censorship and What It Takes to Keep Making Work

Artists have always navigated limits — but the forms those limits take keep changing. On October 23, Rochester Contemporary Art Center (RoCo) brings together artists to talk honestly about censorship: what it looks and feels like from the inside, and what it takes to keep making work through and beyond it. The evening unfolds in RoCo's Lab Space and Main Gallery, as part of the Sanctuary exhibition exploring borders and belonging.

Date: Friday, October 23, 2026 Time: 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM Location: Rochester Contemporary Art Center (RoCo), 137 East Ave, Rochester, NY 14604 Cost: Free (suggested $2 admission)
