Airplane at the sunriseAccording to a recent review of Federal Election Commission documents by the Washington Free Beacon, Hillary Clinton is proving Donald Trump isn’t the only presidential candidate in the race who prefers a luxurious lifestyle. About eight million people fly every day, but very few do so in the same way Hillary and “The Donald” do.

With the New York Primaries a little over a month away, it’s time for voters to start taking a more serious and in-depth look at the candidates they’ll be choosing from on April 19. Of course, policies, positions, and polling will play a big role in who people ultimately decide to vote for, but this most recent finding is an interesting tidbit to note.

Clinton has long tried to position herself as a “champion for the people,” but it’s hard to envision drinking a beer or watching a sporting event with someone who spent $2,128,293 from June 1, 2015, to Jan. 29, 2016, on charter jet services.

More specific information is hard to come by as the Clinton campaign has played this aspect close to the vest, and for good reason. Clinton, who has consistently been a proponent of combating global climate change in her proposed policies, has been spotted by media personnel traveling by way of Executive Fliteways’ Falcon 900B “heavy jet.” This particular private jet burns approximately 347 gallons of fuel per hour and is just under $6,000 per hour to rent.

According to the company’s website, accommodations include a full service galley, executive workstation, onboard WiFi, a full-size private lavatory, and a flight attendant for the “ultimate inflight experience.”

“Despite her campaign’s best efforts to rebrand her as a down-to-earth fighter for ‘everyday Americans,’ Hillary Clinton’s jet-setting ways are just further confirmation that she’s out of touch with the American people,” said Jeff Bechdel, communications director for America Rising. “It’s that kind of hypocrisy that makes the majority of voters say Clinton is not honest or trustworthy.”

It shouldn’t really come as a surprising to anyone paying attention that politicians spend a lot of money on their personal comfort, but it is an interesting piece of information to consider nonetheless.
