pedestrian signWhile we are all out prepping for Thanksgiving week, a 62 year-old man in a wheelchair was struck by the driver of a van on N. Clinton and Clifford Ave.

The man had the right-of-way and was in a crosswalk. Around 3PM, the driver turned right into the crosswalk and hit the man.

The 44 year-old driver “was charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to yield to right-of-way to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.”

The driver is fine. The man in the wheelchair remains in critical condition after undergoing surgery.
